The purpose of AAAA is to support the United States Army Aviation Soldier and Family.  This statement is the touchstone for National and Chapter decisions, actions, and activities.  The Thunderbird Chapter is located in Oklahoma with membership throughout the state, which is made up primarily of current and retired members of the Oklahoma Army National Guard.  The Army Aviation Veterans Day 5K will benefit the AAAA Thunderbird Chapter and AAAA Scholarship Foundation which awards scholarships and interest-free loans annually to members of AAAA and their spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children, and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased members.  AAAA supports the Army Aviation Soldier and Family through financial support to family readiness programs, welcome home and deployment ceremonies, and scholarships. AAAA facilitates growth and enhancement of the Army Aviation program by bringing industry partners and service members together to create a better and safer way to meet the Army Aviation mission. This year the Thunderbird Chapter of the AAAA is hosting the 4th Annual Army Aviation Veteran's Day 5k.  Our primary purpose is to raise money for the AAAA Scholarship Foundation and promote physical fitness and wellness within the Tulsa community.  The Oklahoma Army National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility is the venue for this sanctioned race.  There will be open and age group awards for the top three finishers for each male and female in each age category, as well as Oklahoma Army National Guard Helicopters and other equipment on display.

Thunderbird Chapter would like to thank this years sponsors, we couldn't do this event without you!
